The closures have been prompted by the smoking ban in England and Wales, which will come into force in July this year.</p> <p>The cuts will be in Fulham, Islington, Kingston-upon-Hull, Liverpool, Reading, Sheffield, Swansea, Welling and Wolverhampton. Rank will then be left with 103 bingo clubs, making it the country's second-largest bingo operator.</p> <p>Several bingo clubs were forced to close in Scotland after the smoking ban was introduced there. Pubs have been able to set aside outside areas where people can smoke, but this is not possible with a bingo hall because players cannot use the electronic terminals outside the hall.</p> <p>While conceding that smoking is a dirty and harmful habit I believe it should be totally at the discretion of the owner of a venue to permit or ban smoking on his or her own premises, it should not be a matter for State intervention and the heavy handed dishing out of penalty notices. Clientele of bars, pubs and clubs would then have a choice of patronising those establishments which fit in with their own personal lifestyle. However there is no place for such commonsense personal choice in Nanny State Britain where the government seeks to coerce, bully and threaten its citizens.</p> <p>Councils are already struggling to provide decent levels of service in conventional fields of operation, now they have to find funds for council employees to patrol licensed premises on their patch to catch and hand our penalty notices to someone who lights up.</p> <p>As is typical of the hypocritical politicians of Britain’s Old Gang parties who believe they know what is best, there are establishments offering food and drink to their clients which will be exempt from the new smoking ban - the bars of the Houses of Parliament. So while your fat cat MP or a BBC political correspondent can chomp away on his cigar in Annie’s Bar the “ordinary” taxpaying smoker will be forced to stand aside in the wind and rain.</p> <p>Anyway, all those Bingo Halls will make nice mosques when they go up for sale. Just like the 'Super Mosque' (Islamic Village) that's going to be built in Dudley, even after massive protests and lobbying against it. Still comforting to know, you can't have a fag whilst out at Bingo, but you can visit your local mosque, plan Jihad, condone Child Sex and plot your next catastrophe. The report entitled ‘Population Mobility and Service Provision’ is a damning indictment of the present lunatic immigration system. </p> <p>The report states that immigrants are costing council tax payers at least £200 million a year. Costs for personal translators for immigrants are costing council tax payers at least a £1,000 per year per immigrant. In London with an estimated official growth of 100,000 immigrants per year this equates to costs of tens of millions per year out of council taxes just to teach them how to speak English. </p> <p>Council tax payers are also paying millions of pounds per year in ’destitution payments’ to illegal immigrants who have just arrived in the country and who are unable to claim benefits because of government rules that require them to follow the legal asylum process.</p> <p>The report details that schooling for the indigenous children of the UK is suffering and impacting adversely on the education of British children, that unbearable strain is being put on the housing and health systems, that social cohesion is being damaged by the influx of immigrants into the UK, that the council housing systems are in total crisis and that council taxes will have to rise vastly in coming years to cover the costs of the immigration crisis. </p> <p>The report also reveals that in ten London boroughs, over a third of the population were born overseas with Brent a staggering 46.6%. </p> <p>Brent - 46.6 %<br> Kensington and Chelsea - 44.6 %<br> Westminster - 44.5 %<br> Newham - 38.2 %<br> Ealing - 37.3 %<br> Haringey - 37.1 %<br> Camden - 36.8 %<br> Tower Hamlets - 34.7 %<br> Hackney - 34.5 %<br> Hammersmith and Fulham - 33.6 %</p> <p>This report is the smoking gun on immigration, and because it comes from the LSE which is well known as being a liberal-left institution means the report and its conclusions cannot be smeared as somehow ’racist’ or having an ’agenda’.</p> <p>The report is based on official government figures as regards the estimates of numbers of immigrants entering the UK. As we all know the Labour government lies out of its back teeth about the real figures of immigrants entering the country. When the Labour government said only 30,000 Eastern European immigrants would enter the country the real figure they later revealed as nearer 300,000. Friends of the Hain family formed a small resistance group, the Armed Resistance Movement.</p> <p>The Armed Resistance Movement (ARM) was an terrorist group whose members were mainly white, and friends of Peter Hain's family were involved.</p> <p>ARM came into being at the time of the arrest of the major ANC leadership. It succeeded in several bombing operations. However, a bombing in Johannesburg station in July 1964 led to the death of an elderly woman.</p> <p>One of the ARM's operatives (John Harris, a school teacher) was subsequently arrested, convicted, sentenced to death, and executed.</p> <p>Harris was a friend of Peter Hain's family, and Harris' wife, Ann, and their young son, David, went to live with the Hains in the run-up to the trial. The 15-year-old Peter Hain delivered the eulogy at the service for Harris after his execution by the South African government for planting the bombs that killed and wounded people in the blast.</p> <p><strong>Conviction for Hain</strong></p> <p>In 1966 the Hain family fled South Africa and settled in London. Peter became chairman of the Stop the Seventy Tour Campaign which disrupted tours by the South African rugby union teams in 1969 and 1970. A 1972 private prosecution brought by Francis Bennion in regard to his leadership of the illegal direct-action interference with the tours resulted in a ten-day Old Bailey Trial with the jury failing to agree on three charges and hence he was acquitted on those charges, but Peter Hain was found guilty of criminal conspiracy and fined £200. He appealed against the conviction in 1973. The Court of Appeal dismissed his appeal with costs. </p> <p>As reported in the Daily Telegraph of 23 October 1973, the court said his conviction was "fully justified". Lord Justice Roskill said Hain had not elected to give evidence, adding that "He gave no explanation of his part over the incidents with which he was charged." In 1976 Hain was tried for, and acquitted of, a 1974 bank robbery, after allegedly having been framed by South African intelligence agents.</p> <p><strong>Deaths of thousands</strong></p> <p>Under Tony Blair the Labour Party themselves are also involved in the deaths of tens of thousands of people in Iraq and Serbia. The Conservatives also lobbied for the illegal war in Iraq and voted for it in Parliament making them complicit in the crimes of the Labour government.</p> <p>The Labour Party are also involved in rewarding former terrorists in the IRA like Martin McGuiness and Gerry Adams with Cabinet Minster posts in the Northern Ireland Assembly and also freeing the terrorists responsible for the worst atrocities in the conflict and rewarding them with jobs on the Policing Boards. </p> <p><strong>House of murder</strong> </p> <p>As for the media, should they choose to cover this story in the usual simplistic and emotive manner, perhaps they should bear in mind the case of 44-year-old James Raven. In August 2004 at Chester Crown court Raven was sentenced to life imprisonment for torturing and murdering Brian Waters. In his summing up Justice Poole told Raven: "These crimes were exceptionally sadistic. The violence used was both gratuitous and extreme and was characterised by the humiliation and degradation of Brian Waters before he died. Apparently the caption for Muhammad bore the president’s name and vice-versa. A further comment was added, indicating that one was a “violent paedophile” and the other “a prophet of God, a great leader and example to us all”. A separate article likened the reaction to the original cartoons with the outrage at last year’s speech by the Pope at Regensburg.<br> Patricia Fara, Clare College’s senior tutor, apologised yesterday. She said: “The college finds the publication and the views expressed abhorrent. Reflecting the gravity of the situation, the college immediately began an investigation and disciplinary procedures are in train.” </p> <p>The Union of Clare Students also apologised, saying that the material did not reflect the views of Clare students. </p> <p>The unnamed 19 year old maths and physics student now faces been expelled from the college, an uncertain career path and was moved to a safe house following threats of violence. </p> <p>Clare College should apologise to the British population for not having a sense of humour and for appeasing a handful of pushy Muslims who are conducting jihad at Cambridge University. Their actions would be an affront to their benefactor whose family played a key role in the 13th and 14th century Crusades. </p> <p>Word of the week – dhimmitude - Dhimmitude is the status that Islamic law, the Sharia, mandates for non-Muslims, primarily Jews and Christians. Dhimmis, "protected people," are free to practice their religion in a Sharia regime, but are made subject to a number of humiliating regulations designed to enforce the Qur'an's command that they "feel themselves subdued" (Sura 9:29). Although written by James Moore for an American readership the report has equal relevance and impact for a British audience. It should some hope to the millions of Britons who are daily the victims of this pernicious abuse of power by an out of touch elite.</p> <p><strong>American Daily</strong></p> <p>Where did this strange animal Political Correctness (PC) come from? Never in our history have we had to be afraid of what we say, write, and do. </p> <p>We must not bow to that fear. Since PC tries to restrict our freedom of expression—-particularly any form of dissent--it is imperative that we learn everything we can about it: more, for example, than it is simply a rebuke to various forms of bigotry.</p> <p>In an address to academia in 1998, writer Bill Lind dissected PC from top to bottom. What Lind said is so vital, I will try, with implicit permission, to give you a capsule version of the five points he made.</p> <p>First, political correctness is cultural Marxism. Although it’s everywhere, this socialistic idea is most evident on college campuses, where crossing the line set up by sainted “victims” groups gets you in deep trouble.</p> <p>PC also thrives on lies. Let’s say you’re told that a certain fact is true. But reality contradicts that. So reality is forbidden, to make the lie seem true. And the power of the State is used to keep the lie alive. That’s why political correctness creates a totalitarian state.</p> <p>Second, PC, like Marxism, uses a single factor to explain history. Marx uses economics. PC uses power. The power is determined by which groups have power over the other groups. With political correctness, nothing but power has any significant meaning.</p> <p>Third, with PC, certain groups are deemed to be “good”. These groups, such as feminist women, blacks, Hispanics, homosexuals, etc, are considered “victims”, therefore “good”-- whether they are or not. White males, of course, are the bad guys. Their “evilness” is equivalent to the wicked bourgeoisie in economic Marxism.</p> <p>Fourth, both PC and Marxism take from one to give to another; (or keep for themselves. You can clearly see this at work in quotas, preferences, affirmative action, and other illegal transfers of assets from one group of citizens to another. The nice word for it is expropriation. The more accurate word is stealing.</p> <p>Fifth, both political correctness and Marxism have a method of analyzing situations which automatically gives them the answers they want. This devious little process is called Deconstruction. Which simply means taking one text, removing its meaning, and re-inserting any other meaning desired.</p> <p><strong>Newspeak</strong></p> <p>George Orwell did an outstanding job of this in his chilling novel, 1984. “Newspeak” gave opposite meanings to common words: War became Peace, Slavery became Freedom, Ignorance became Strength.</p> <p>Orwell had unknowingly described political correctness when he defined the principle of Newspeak: “The purpose of Newspeak was not only to provide a medium of expression for the world-view and mental habits proper to the devotees of INGSOC (English Socialism), but to make all other modes of thought impossible.”</p> <p>Get that? Make all other modes of thought impossible! That bit of tyranny appears to be the objective of today’s PC crowd in Washington. Shetty had<br> racist TV programme in India<br> (Story Included below)</strong></p> <p>In the last few weeks, the country (and the rest of the world it seems) woke up to a storm of manufactured controversy when racially-charged comments from an individual who was appearing on Channel 4’s popular “reality” TV show Big Brother were reported upon by the mass media. </p> <p>Those of us who are have cast away the shackles of plastic entertainment and misinformation masquerading as “news” will have undoubtedly heard the shock waves that rippled from the epicentre of the Big Brother household across the media. This “news”, artificially primed and pumped by the media tycoons and barons who have incestuous relationships with the Nu-Labour, hit the British public and reverberated around the world. The centre of this seismic media phenomenon was Jade Goody, a product of the plastic celebrity culture – created in an earlier Big Brother reality TV show and spectacularly destroyed in the latest incarnation: Death by media.<br> Jade Goody is a product of modern liberal Britain and an education system that is fitting for churning out mass-produced morons. Unfortunately, this is precisely what we are now experiencing in the schools and on the streets of Britain. </p> <p></p> <p>This years’ Celebrity Big Brother was won by the victim of that bullying. Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty, who was mercilessly bullied by a “Gang of Three” (three Z-list celebrities led by Jade Goody and including Jo O’Meara and Danielle Lloyd). Miss Shetty was targeted by these three because she is attractive, intelligent and successful. In other words, she was bullied for the usual reasons why individuals are bullied by petty tyrants who have low self-esteem issues. Instantly, the mass media and race industry watchdogs shot the issue of ‘racist bullying’ into the media stratosphere and – like any product that is blitzed into the mass consciousness by Goebbelesque-propaganda, the public went into sympathy mode and suffered a huge guilt complex. Only whites can be racist – according to the prevailing mythology propagated by our masters – and the white British need to be continually reminded of this in order to have this mass social experiment of multiculturalism hoisted upon us. Therefore as soon as allegations of racist bullying by the white contestants in BB were exposed, the whole propaganda machine was duly cranked into action by the network of race zealots and multiculturalism fanatics, as well as all those minions whose careers and shares are predicated on the survival of the multicultural society. </p> <p>Racial bullying has now – as a result of the BB controversy - been focussed on only the non-white victims, ignoring the experiences of white children and adults in schools and communities across multicultural Britain. In areas of Muslim dominance white people are victimised and attacked by Muslim gangs, and Christians are singled out for discrimination and intimidation by militant Muslims. The media controversy engendered by BB has only served to reinforce the lies and manipulation of the propaganda machine that is the multicultural state. BB was an opportunity too good to miss and the ‘racism’ of the whites was exposed, and turned into a psychology exercise where whites could view their collective behaviour and guilt, and cathartically experience a sense of relief as they are subjected to status of second-class citizenry and national and ethnic subjugation at the hands of the liberal multicultural state.</p> <p>The fact that there was a possibility of anti-white racist bullying in the BB household is testament to the double-standards and hypocrisy of Channel 4, the pro-multicultural mass media and sponsors of the show, and the institutionalised anti-white racist police and race industry watchdogs. If Jade Goody and her fellow contestants were deservedly exposed for their bullying and allegations of racist behaviour, then racist comments made by others should also be investigated. </p> <p>It was reported that Jermaine Jackson told Miss Shetty that being “people of colour” (that is, non-whites) they were not like the “poor white trash” in the BB house. He was also reported to have called Jade Goody a “white whale” and Miss Shetty agreed. In defence, Jermaine Jackson retorted when questioned after BB that he had actually said: "I didn't make that statement. I was repeating something that someone else had said and I was trying to let Shilpa know what some of the housemates felt was the reason why she was attacked. They didn't show who originally said it.”<br> Whether or not Jermaine said what has been reported, the institutionalised anti-white racist mass media that control our information have selective hearing when it comes to racist remarks and bullying directed against white people. Racism is a one-way street in Britian. If it is directed against whites then it is ignored by politicians, the police and by the media. Whilst hate-filled Muslim clerics fuel the fires of anti-white and anti-western feelings amongst a generation of alienated Muslim youth who hate Britain, the law turns the other way in its self-hating guilt trip, afraid to compromise its liberal values by facing the facts of white people being assaulted and murdered on our streets by gangs of Muslim youth and Islamic death squads amongst us. The law and mores of society should protect the rights and dignity of all members of society, not merely a minority or a particular privileged section of it.</p> <p><img src="http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u99/sonnetphotos/shetty2.jpg" alt="" title=""><br> <strong>Racist Bigot</strong></p> <p>Miss Shetty herself is a hypocrite who, apart from failing to condemn the racism of her fellow contestants, is a member of a higher caste in her homeland of India. The caste system itself is a relic of the social system created by Aryan tribes who invaded India in the Second Millennium BC, and who developed the caste system as a form of social control that was effectively racially-based. The lower castes remain ostracised from mainstream Indian society despite recent efforts to afford them some measure of protection and equal opportunity. Intercaste marriage is unofficially forbidden as 160 million people in India are regarded as untouchables, or dalits, due to no other factor than the darkness of their skin. If Miss Shetty had been a member of a lower caste, Indians would have ignored her plight.<br> Hence Miss Shetty, a member of the Indian master-race elite, can lay claim to a privileged lifestyle that included servants, a fact boasted by Miss Shetty who says that she has “two cooks, who I speak to through an intercom into the kitchen. I have three chauffeurs and two house-helps who keep all my rooms clean and tidy”. She also has help from her hairdresser and make-up artist who accompany her everywhere. She also has a spot boy who is her help everywhere and runs errands and “even holds an umbrella for me if it gets too sunny”. Furthermore, Miss Shetty seems to prefer to want to only marry an Indian man. So full-marks to her for recognising that people wish to be with their own kind, but surely she should have been condemned for not wanting a mixed-marriage so beloved of our own liberal state? </p> <p>She further confides that in India servants are “easily accessible and cost effective. Even people on meagre salaries can afford them” thus Indian servants represent a class of people who are condemned to a life of poverty and exploitation. Whilst Britain led the world in ending slavery it seems that in India pseudo-slavery is very much alive, whilst Britain is yet again ostracised as a racist nation. Where are the media voices of true liberal values in exposing the sham human rights of the poor oppressed Indians? Where is the condemnation of the racist caste system in India by the spokesmen of the race industry? Why didn’t Gordon Brown criticise the oppression and poverty of the caste system whilst he was visiting India, instead of condemning the ignorant rantings of a product that his very Marxist society has created? In the world of Gordon Brown and Tony Blair, all whites must be inherently racist and hence all British society is racist and must be forcibly re-educated to accept mass immigration and its mass exploitation by a Marxist government hand-in-pocket with Big Business.<br> The Government and its minions that run the multicultural state have all gained. A bunch of Z-rating TV celebs have sidelined all other important issues. Yet again Orwell’s vision of a Big Brother world has been realised with mass propaganda and mass entertained pumped out 24/7 to keep the masses drugged.</p> <p>TV has made the hideous antics of people bullying one another entertainment. What kind of a society have we become when this level of behaviour is considered acceptable and entertaining? TV and its intended use as education and information has been abused by subversive elements who have penetrated the institutions of the BBC and media since the 60s, creating a mind-rotting machine fit for only feeding people whose boundaries of culture and morality have been warped to a point beyond alienation and normality. The mass media has undoubtedly contributed to the cultural decay of modern Britain. The ‘beaten generation’ of soulless atomised individuals have been raised from cradle to grave in front of a mindless and amoral machine, tuned to convey the very best of liberalism to its willing victims. An amoral cultural vacuum that celebrates confrontation, foul language, violence and stupidity, rewards ignorance and celebrates the perverse and the vacuous.</p> <p>Jade Goody’s behaviour reflects the level of education and decency now prevalent within this country. Rather than being overtly racist it reflects the way that she and some of her generation react to anyone who disagree with her, whatever their race or sexual orientation.</p> <p>It must be the duty of all decent and moral parents to make sure that they and their children are no longer affected by the propaganda of the multiculturist state and the liquid manure that pretends to be the moral values of the liberal society – and to switch off! In Orwell’s 1984 book it was the elite who had the privilege to turn off their TVs. The masses had to endure the 24/7 outpouring of the mass propaganda from their TVs. In Ray Bradbury’s “Fahrenheit 451” books are destroyed as sources of knowledge and the truth whilst TVs monopolise public places so that the truths as approved by the state can be enforced upon the unwilling populace. But in today’s consumerist and liberal society the public voluntarily enforce their subjugation through cheap and trashy entertainment and a willingness to accept the breakdown of moral codes and norms of behaviour as propagated by decades of liberal brainwashing and laws. Patriotic men and women must fight back against this tide of sewage as there is no other government body that will do this for us. Health and safety laws would surely dictate that what is being transmitted through the TV set is unfit for human consumption – and for a child, their exposure to the kind of perversion and misinformation that they are subjected to on a daily basis is tantamount to child abuse.</p> <p>BB was a god-send to the multicult elite who hijacked the issues that arose from the bullying behaviour of ignorant chavs and turned it into a full-blown race issue, merely to deflect the public’s attention from the crises engulfing this government and nation. This crusade of hypocrisy was led by such downmarket tabloids as the Sun who, acting according to the edicts of their political masters, turned the whole episode into a readguard action to save multiculturalism and drive white people into cowardice. BB and the news-managed crisis it produced was meant to show us how crude and racist were the white working classes are. </p> <p>The real victims of bullying are the millions of people in Britain who are forced to live within a multicult society which they neither voted for nor wanted. People are exposed to the pressures and tensions inherent within such an unnatural state. They are the millions of people who expose themselves to the trash that emanates from their TV sets every day, living in virtual words where truth is perverted and facts are distorted, where moral boundaries are discordant and behavioural codes are distorted. The corrosive effects of an all too powerful welfare state and state schooling system have produced a generation of savages where the spirit and soul have evaporated into a torrent of f-words, noise and selfish behaviour. BB is the tombstone of British values, where traditional British decency, respect and standards have been buried by the filth of liberalised values and weakness dug by the gravediggers of yesterday’s politicians and social engineers. The behaviour, intellect and decency embodied by Miss Shetty are the very values that once marked British people out, where we as a nation once gave the very standards of good behaviour to the rest of the world. We need to reclaim those lost standards and start recreating our Jade Goodys into role models that would make their parents, teachers and our nation proud.</p> <p>When we have reached the point where the sacrifices of our forefathers are forgotten we know that our liberal political masters have almost achieved their goal of brainwashing and manipulation. Sixty-six years ago in September 1940 the Nazi dominance of Europe was challenged by a nation led by Winston Churchill whose brave pilots too to the air to confront deadly bully. Victory by “The few” saved us from Hitler. It was the most crucial battle in our history and the very lifeblood of freedom and democracy lie hanging on a thread as the RAF battled against massed attacks by the German Luftwaffe. Five hundred of our pilots died to secure for us, their inheritors, the rights and freedoms that we today take for granted. Yet a recent survey of children revealed a story of dismal facts. Eighty percent said that the Battle of Britain had never been mentioned in school lessons. Only one per cent realised the significance of the battle. Some believed that the battle was fought in 1066, and yet others that the enemy had been the Romans or the Normans. The ignorance of our beaten generation is down to the squalid school system and the spineless indoctrinated teachers who fail our children in their care.</p> <p>Instead of allowing our children to aspire to the heights of stupidity and crassness as represented by the likes of Jade Goody et al, they should be looking to the heroism and decency as shown by those brave men and women of the RAF some sixty-six years ago. But the rot has sunk deep and only a political party with the will and the commitment to tackle head-on the very corruption and indecency can hope to achieve this social miracle. Our own Trade watchdogs will no longer have say in the goods imported from our trading partners as Brussels sets the rules.</p> <p>The warning comes from the British Weights and Measures Association (BWMA) which said it was concerned that many international businesses were unaware of what was happening.</p> <p>"Asian and Australasian businesses need to know that the display of US, British imperial and industry-specific measurements alongside metric could be illegal in the European Union in less than three years' time," BWMA said in a statement.</p> <p>The European Commission (EC) is currently seeking business views with submissions closing in three weeks.</p> <p>Currently, businesses operating in the European Union can use US or imperial measures alongside metric measures for all economic purposes. That includes product packaging, websites and catalogues.</p> <p><strong>Illegal information</strong></p> <p>But under an unnecessary EC Directive, “extra measurement information” will become illegal within the EU from the start of 2010.<br> BWMA director John Gardner said a ban on US and British units affected not only UK and US businesses but those from all other parts of the world.</p> <p>He said the ban would apply to all products, packaging, advertisements, instructions, brochures, magazines, books, e-commerce, internet sites, internal business processes and catalogues and no-one would be exempt.</p> <p>"If the ban on US and other measurements alongside metric goes ahead, Asian and Australasian industry will be forced to duplicate manufacturing processes when selling goods both in Europe and internationally, since they will no longer be able to use one process for both metric and non-metric markets," he said in a statement. Should the international trade market boycot Europe? I think so, theEU should be on an international trade ban.</p> <p>Just to add, the EU has managed to ban smoking in public areas in France, now they wish to pilot a scheme which bans the use of mobile phones in public. So, this really does make it pointless owning a mobile phone. Widespread conflict to bring the entire region into the flames of war, possibly triggered by Iran or militants in Pakistan using North Korean supplied nuclear arms. The first Scene in this Act is the US Invasion of Iraq on March 20, 2003.<br> <strong>Act 2</strong> - Israel at War -- Against her Arab neighbors, possibly Palestine. Who can tell how this war will end? </p> <p>The Third World War is planned to begin when Israel goes to war against her Arab enemies. Then and only then will all the other elements begin to occur and they will occur in rapid succession. The plan is to have one disaster following another in such rapid succession that, before people can mentally and emotionally handle one disastrous news event, they will be hit with another. It is also true to say that until ALL the elements for WW3 are in place, the plan will not commence.</p> <p>While it would be naive to suggest a specific timeline for the events leading up to and including World War 3, we do know that the plans for World War 3 are well advanced, and our leaders involved in this secret plan are waiting only for the right signal before all-out war begins.</p> <p>Events in the Middle East in the last few weeks have been truly distressing, with Israel embarking on what increasingly looks like an ill-conceived war against Hezbollah, Iran moving forward with its effort to join the nuclear club, and Iraq slipping deeper into civil war.</p> <p>No matter what your position is on Iraq or the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, no one in their right mind could be anything but dismayed. Unless, that is, you’re of a particular conservative mind.</p> <p>To some of the leading lights of the right-wing commentariat, what we’re seeing unfold is no mere crisis. Instead, it is literally World War III, a clash of civilizations in which everyone everywhere will have to take a side and take up arms. And they couldn’t be happier about it.</p> <p>The facts about Iran's "alleged" nuclear weapons program have never been in dispute. There is no such program and no one has ever produced a shred of credible evidence to the contrary. That hasn't stopped the Bush administration from making spurious accusations and threats; nor has it deterred America's "imbedded" media from implying that Iran is hiding a nuclear weapons program from the IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency). In fact, the media routinely features the unconfirmed claims of members of terrorist organizations, like the Mujahedin Klaq, (which is on the State Depts. list of terrorist organizations) to make it appear that Iran is secretively developing nuclear arms. These claims have proved to be entirely baseless and should be dismissed as just another part of Washington's propaganda war. </p> <p class="center">Sound familiar?</p> <p>Iran has no nuclear weapons program. This is the conclusion of Mohammed el-Baradei the respected chief of the IAEA. The agency has conducted a thorough and nearly-continuous investigation on all suspected sites for the last two years and has come up with the very same result every time; nothing. If we can't trust the findings of these comprehensive investigations by nuclear experts than the agency should be shut down and the NPT (Nuclear Non-proliferation Treaty) should be abandoned. It is just that simple. </p> <p>That, of course, is exactly what the US and Israel would prefer since they have no intention of complying with international standards or treaties and are entirely committed to a military confrontation with Iran. It now looks as though they may have the pretext for carrying out such an attack. </p> <p>The US is also the only nation that claims the right to use nukes in a "first-strike" capacity if it feels that its national security interests are at stake. </p> <p>The NPT is entirely designed to harass the countries that have not yet developed nuclear weapons and force them to observe rules designed by the more powerful states. It was intended to maintain the existing power-structure not to keep the peace. </p> <p>Even so, Iran is not "violating" the treaty by moving ahead with a program for "enriching uranium". They don't even have the centrifuges for conducting such a process. The re-opening of their facility at Isfahan signals that they will continue the "conversion" process to produce the nuclear fuel that is required in nuclear power plants. This is all permitted under the terms of the NPT. They temporarily suspended that right, and accepted other confidence-building measures, to show the EU their willingness to find a reasonable solution to mutual concerns. But, now, under pressure from the Bush administration, the EU is trying to renege on its part of the deal and change the terms of the treaty itself.</p> <p>Iran has shown an unwillingness to be bullied by Washington. The Bush administration has co-opted the EU to enforce its double-standards by threatening military action, but that doesn't' conceal the duplicity of their demands. Why should Iran forgo the processing of nuclear fuel for peaceful purposes if it is written right into the treaty? Would Israel or Pakistan accept a similar proposal? </p> <p>Of course, not. Both countries ignored the treaty altogether and built their own nuclear weapons behind the back of the international community. Only Iran has been singled out and punished for COMPLYING with the treaty. This demonstrates the power of Washington to dictate the international agenda. </p> <p>Iran's refusal puts the EU in a position to refer the case to the IAEA, where the board members will make their determination and decide whether the case should be sent to the UN Security Council. Whether the IAEA passes the case along or not makes little difference. Bush, Sharon and the western media will exploit the details in a way that condemns Iran and paves the way for a preemptive attack. The drive to war will not be derailed by mere facts. </p> <p>If Iran retaliates against Israel or the US in Iraq, then both nations will proceed with a plan that is already in place to destroy all of Iran's biological, chemical and conventional weapons sites. In fact, this is the ultimate US strategy anyway; not the elimination of the "imaginary" nuclear weapons facilities. Both the US and Israel want to "de-funk" the Mullah-regime so that they can control critical resources and eliminate the possibility of a regional rival in the future. </p> <p>It makes no difference. Now Doctor Chan could probably afford to replace the computers: what he could not replace was their contents - hundreds of family photographs and files containing more than 150 lectures on radiology. </p> <p>Finding that the police showed little interest in investigating the burglary and did not send a single uniformed officer, Doctor Chan decided to take action himself to retrieve the stolen property. He pinned up posters around his neighbourhood offering a reward for anyone who returned the computers, Christmas presents and priceless family photographs. </p> <p>So he was astonished when officers phoned and threatened to arrest him for attempting to buy stolen goods - despite the fact that the goods in question were his own property. </p> <p>Apparently, under section 23 of the Theft Act 1968, it is illegal to advertise rewards for return of goods stolen or lost using words to the effect that no questions will be asked. Anyone convicted faces a fine of up to £100 and will get a criminal record. A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: 'any reward should be organised with police liaison to ensure no offences would be committed inadvertently by the victims'. Funny, isn't it, that there's always a police spokesman available to explain how he's right and everyone else is wrong, but you never see a policeman on the beat and you can wait hours and hours if you've been mugged or burgled? </p> <p>Anyway, it would seem that if the police can't be bothered to try and solve your crime or get your property back, they can still keep up their conviction records by charging you, the victim. Nice!</p> <p>The police, under-manned, badly managed and ground down with targets and paperwork, simply don't have the time or inclination to catch criminals. The two worst countries in the 36-nation survey are Malaysia and China, and Britain is one of the bottom five with "endemic surveillance". </p> <p>• Cars will soon be linked to global satellite navigation systems (many already are, of course) which will provide the quickest route to avoid current congestion. And that's only the tip of the iceberg - Britain now has the largest DNA database in the world. </p> <p>• "Better safe than sorry" stands as a motto that supports the considerable rise in social-care referrals for child-abuse, and that gives a green light to the precautionary surveillance of groups, categories and individuals by the public services." - Information Commissioner's report </p> <p>• "The USVISIT border control system for a UK citizen crossing the US border mines some 30 databases, from previous entry and exit data to social security records and information on exchange students." - Information Commissioner's report </p> <p>• New TV-on-demand systems like TiVo make it possible to monitor which television programmes you watch </p> <p>• In February 2006 the EU Data Retention Directive and UK Home Office proposed to force mobile and landline telephone companies and internet providers to retain traffic date for at least two years and make them available to law enforcement agencies. They'll be able to track the telephone calls you made, the emails you sent and the websites you visited two years ago. </p> <p>• The ECHELON system operated by the American National Security Agency at Menwith in Yorkshire routinely filters all telecommunications traffic passing through the UK and scans it for certain key words, phrases and meanings. There is a suggestion that it will soon be able to recognise individual voices. </p> <p>• There are 4.2 million CCTV cameras in Britain, one for every fourteen people. An individual may be filmed as much as 300 times a day, despite the fact that the Home Office have admitted that "the CCTV schemes that have been assessed had little overall effect on crime levels". </p> <p>• On the roads, speed cameras increased from 300,000 in 1996 to over 2 million in 2004. In March 2005 the Association of Chief Police Officers demanded a national network of ANPR (automatic number plate recognistion) using police, local authority, Highways Agency other partner and commercial sector cameras including those in town centres and high streets, with a national ANPR Centre capable of storing 50 million reads a day for two years. It is also planned to include all garage forecourt cameras. So they'll know where you went two years ago - long after you've forgotten it yourself. And they'll even know how much petrol you used to get there. </p> <p>• Every time you use a credit card, bank card, mobile phone, or the Internet; every time you buy something in a shop or withdraw money from the bank; every time you use a supermarket loyalty card, take part in a survey, join a focus group, enter a promotional competition, talk to a call centre, or take out credit, it creates a "data trail" and is entered on somebody's database somewhere. Increasingly these databases are linked, enabling your profile to be stored either for law enforcement or commercial purposes - where you go, who you talk to, what your interests are (even those you're ashamed of), how much you spend, what you buy, what you say and what you think. </p> <p>• The planned NHS database will contain all the information your doctor has ever held about you. Doctor/patient confidentiality will be a thing of the past. Twenty years ago you went to the doctor feeling depressed and anxious and told him you'd suddenly started fancying the thirteen-year-old girl next door? You'd better hope that he had the decency to note down what tranquillisers he prescribed, but not the reason. </p> <p>• The 2003 Criminal Justice Act empowered the police to take fingerprints and DNA samples from everyone they arrest, whether or not they are subsequently charged, and whether or not they are found guilty. There has been plenty of anecdotal evidence that they are also taking fingerprints and DNA from innocent witnesses, too. The National DNE Database now holds 3.45 million samples - including 40% of black males, 13% of Asian males and 9% of white males. The Drugs Act of 2005 gave police the power to test for drugs all those arrested for theft, robbery, burglary and begging, regardless of guilt. </p> <p>• RFID chips - tiny microchips that emit a weak radio signal - can be built into the goods or clothes you buy in the shop, enabling the shop to keep tabs on your use of the item - and, of course, on you if you're wearing it. The technology is in its infancy, but the proposed UK ID Card scheme is likely to use it so that as you walk down the street you can be spotted by reading devices fixed to lamp-posts or carried by policemen. They can even be implanted in animals and humans. Race horses already have them, a Spanish night-club has offered them to members so they don't have to carry cash, a firm in America has implanted two in workers so they can access a secure part of the building, and Hitachi have been working with the European Bank on the idea of putting them in bank-notes. There are technology websites where the idea of implanting everybody is under serious discussion. </p> <p>• "Data creep" is the name given to the natural process by which information gathered for one specific purpose is later used for other purposes. An example is the London congestion charge. The ANPR technology was originally developed for the military and installed to find IRA bombers. Now it's being used to collect funds for the local authority. They may tell you they're using new technology for sincere and beneficial purposes, but sooner or later your details will "creep" into a dozen databases for purposes you haven't even thought of yet. </p> <p>• "The heart of New Labour's modernisation agenda has been to transform a set of disparate agencies into a coordinated and joined-up system with a huge investment in IT provision." - Information Commissioner's report </p> <p>• The technology is never infallible. It is estimated that the biometric data stored on the UK ID card will fail to be recognised in one card in six; the much-vaunted Parental Support Agency computer system was a costly joke; the US military's Facial Recognition system only works 74% of the time; ANPR can make mistakes; the Criminal Records Bureau recently admitted that 2,700 people had been wrongly identified as paedophiles, and 22% of the records in the Police National Database contain operator errors. That's fine until it's you that's identified as a paedophile, and your numberplate turns up in a child-murder enquiry at the other end of the country. </p> <p>• When you telephone a call-centre, you often have to identify yourself first. A computer then identifies you as a high-spender or a low-spender. According to the Information Commissioner's report, if you're a high-spender you'll get through more quickly and will be answered by a more skilled operative. </p> <p>• The Home Office is proposing to improve flows of information between different government agencies including the Serious Organised Crime Agency, the National Police Computer, the Criminal Records Bureau, HM Revenue and Customs, the DVLA, insurance and MOT databases and the Passport Office. There is even a Ministerial Committee on Data Sharing. </p> <p>• The Nectar loyalty card has information on 50% of the UK population. The Abacus system run by 216 catalogue companies has details of 26 million customers. </p> <p>• In 1980, Post Office Telephones became BT. It was almost immediately privatised, and then largely fragmented into a host of commercial providers. What do you think happened to all the customer information it held? </p> <p>• The American National Security Agency has forged links with the major American software manufacturers and persuaded them to ensure that levels of security and encryption in export versions of their software are lower than US versions, thus rendering them easier to "crack". </p> <p>• The government has never explained with any clarity just what their ID Cards are for. Apart from the obvious things like crime and terrorism, there is also the suggestion that they will help avoid identity fraud. To do this, they will have to be linked to the systems of the major banks and other commercial organisations. </p> <p>• We have not given, and cannot give, our consent to many of the surveillance practices that are already common. We have not consented to have our number plates read by cameras; we have not consented to being filmed while walking through the town centre; arrestees do not consent to giving fingerprints and DNA samples. And we think this is a democracy? </p> <p>• The government seem to have turned things on their heads with regard to public services. Once upon a time we all thought that services like libraries, the NHS, the DHSS, passports, legal protection, the national road network etc. were provided for all eligible citizens. But it's in the nature of datasystems to classify people into arbitrary categories. Now the emphasis is increasingly on seeking to identify and exclude anyone whose face (or spending-power or lifestyle or turban) doesn't fit. Exclusion extends to commercial pricing policies. Amazon have been charging different prices for the same goods to different customers - based no doubt on their data profiles. </p> <p><img src="http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u99/sonnetphotos/blairhitler.gif" alt="" title=""></p> <p>WHAT WE CAN'T DO ABOUT IT<br> • It's not going to go away. People in powerful positions will never pass up the chance to be even more powerful. And knowledge is power<br> • When any new piece of technology is invented, some tosser will find a use for it. Sometimes that use is beneficial. Sometimes it ain't<br> • Legislation has its limits. You can make laws that say "it's illegal to hold this or that kind of information, or to hold it for more than a certain length of time". But how do you police it? With great difficulty, that's how. </p> <p>WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT<br> • Wear a hoodie, or a big hat<br> • In the town centre or other public place, take your coat off and carry it sometimes<br> • Walk with a limp you don't have<br> • Drive a very dirty car<br> • Don't buy sat-nav<br> • Make all your car journeys by back roads, avoiding motorways and trunk roads. Or ride a bike.<br> • Do all your internet surfing using a proxy server. Easier said than done, unfortunately<br> • Never send an email read-only receipt<br> • Never reply to an unsolicited email<br> • Don't use a mobile phone<br> • Have just one bank account, withdraw cash from it and don't use a credit, bank or loyalty card. Bank notes don't have chips in them yet<br> • When they ask you questions, lie like a trooper<br> • Don't offer yourself to the police as a witness<br> • Don't tell your doctor any more than he needs to know. Or anyone else for that matter<br> • Apply for a new passport NOW, before they make you have an ID card as well<br> • Refuse to carry an ID card when the time comes. If enough of us do so, they'll have a job to prosecute us all<br> • Register with the free Telephone and Mailing Preference Services. These services will block unwanted 'cold calls' from companies and curtail about 95% of unwanted mail<br> • Opt out of part of the Electoral Roll. You can remove your details from the section of the Electoral Roll sold to companies for commercial purposes<br> • Write frequently to your MP and protest about all this surveillance. But use a false name and address<br> • Don't fly. For foreign holidays your best bet is to travel by coach and ferry<br> • Don't ever say "I've got nothing to hide, so why should I worry?" In fact, if anyone emails the GOS and says that, he'll find out where you live and come round your house one night. You won't like that. It's precisely because you've got nothing to hide that you should object to being spied upon. If you're so whiter than white, why should you be tagged and listed and registered like a paedophile or a cow? This is a system of law where the government’s role is solely to enforce the religious law of Islam on the population, and in such societies individual rights are secondary to theological rules. Such laws include beheadings, the amputation of hands for theft, the veiling and stoning of women to death for adultery, the execution of homosexuals and the dhimmitude of Christians, Jews, Hindus, pagans and Sikhs. Those that support and campaign for such a system of government should be regarded as terrorists and banned from organising to promote their objectives in the UK. </p> <p>The report revealed that:</p> <p>Forty per cent of Muslims between the ages of 16 and 24 said they would prefer to live under sharia law in Britain.</p> <p>One in eight young Muslims said they admired groups such as al-Qa'eda that "are prepared to fight the West".</p> <p>36 per cent of the young people questioned said they believed that a Muslim who converts to another religion should be "punished by death."</p> <p>Three out of four young Muslims would prefer Muslim women to "choose to wear the veil or hijab"</p> <p>Forty per cent of younger Muslims said they would want their children to attend an Islamic school,</p> <p>58 per cent arguing that many of the world's problems are "a result of arrogant Western attitudes".
